Crappie fishing is all about knowing where the fish are! We work hard to have this information! Things
change day to day, and time on the water crappie fishing is the only way to stay on top of them. We use
several methods to catch slabs. One is keeping up our crappie condos. Crappie condos are artificial
structure place in areas of the lake with the sole purpose of gathering fish. During the spawn creeks and
spawn beds are the target, but the rest of the year is when things are a little less "EASY"! Different times of
the year crappie will go from deep to shallow water, knowing where they are going and having structure in
those areas help to give us a BIG edge!!!! Central Texas Crappie fishing can be spectacular. All seasons of
the year present good crappie fishing IF you can find them. We crappie fish on Navarro Mills Lake, Lake
Aquilla and Lake Whitney the most. Navarro Mills, though a smaller Central Texas Fishing lake, Can
produce some HUGE SLABS!!! Knowing when to go, what time to be there and how to fish for crappie
makes them a great game fish. And by the way NOTHING taste's better than crappie!
